My buddy has a z71 lowered 2/4 with that size tire and it looks good. He doesn't need the bags either.

I did not do bags yet. But the way I am set up right now, I either need to remove the bracket that my bumpstop is on, or add helper bags so I do not bottom out. I believe the 2wd trucks do not have the bracket for the bumpstop. I will be trying to remove the bracket in the near future, and then attach the bumpstop directly to the frame just like the 2wd trucks.

Here is a picture of the truck right after I lowered it. It has settled down almost two inches since this pic:

He removed the bracket on the bumpstop. No problem with bottoming out anymore.

Re: 06 Silverado 4wd ECSB lowering clarification...
I took my brackets off. It easy to remove just grind the head off the rivets and hammer out the brackets. Less than 30min job.

Were you then able to mount the bumpstops directly to the frame, or are you running without bumpstops?

UGH! This whole picture thing is really frustrating!
Let's try this one.

It works! You may have to be a performancetrucks.net member to see it, not sure.

Did your buddy reinstall the bump stop onto the frame? If so, did he reuse the one that came off the truck or will you have to buy new ones?

Re: 06 Silverado 4wd ECSB lowering clarification...
This may seem like a dumb question but if I go with a 2/4 drop, part wise I will need spindles, new u-bolts & lower shackles? Then I need to lower my keys all the way down, knock off the bump stop bracket, reinstall the bump stop onto the frame. Am I missing stuff?
Oh and when I order the parts, I'm assuming I'm ordering 2wd spindles?

In the front, the 2" drop can be accomplished 2 ways: either drop spindles (you need 4x4 specific spindles), or you can install torsion bar keys from a 3/4 ton truck. If you get spindles AND lower the keys, you will get around 3" of drop.
4" Rear drop: remove factory lift block, install drop shackles.
Both front and rear bumpstops will need trimmed (unless you do spindles).

That's my truck. I used 3/4 ton keys, removed the factory lift block, and installed summit racing lowering shackles. I also installed belltech street performer shocks sized for the drop, and trimmed my bump stops. Next, I will be removing the bumpstop bracket. Hopefully, as you asked, the bumpstop can be reattached to the frame. I plan on buying the remaining parts (spindles, hangers and notch) to drop it 4/6, and will run smaller tires (275-45-20).
