I actually plan on dropping my 4x4 4/6 actual inches with spindles and keys and a remove the block and 4" flipkit for the rear, and running a 265/50/20 tire in the front 295/40/20 in the rear.
It's going to be a lot more because when Im done with everything in about a month, it will be 3" DJM LCA (done), Purple Keys 1-2"(done)and soon Mcgaughys 2" Spindle. It's pretty low now.

Are you keeping it 4x4? With that much drop I'd bet that your CV angles are going to be horrible.

Not sure yet. I know someone that ha it that low and has no issues with the 4x4 but Im not sure. I might just keep the LCA and add the spindle and put my green keys back in. Not sure at this point. Was your that low and you had issues with your 4x4???

Scrub line problems, and alignment problems, for starters.

People that I know and have talked to, bought spindles to correct alignment because after LCA they could not align it properly. Every truck is different. Oh and what is scrub line problems?? Never heard of that term before. Anyway, thanks for your concern but I'll be fine.

I haven't dropped mine yet, but the CVs on my friends truck with a 2" drop are angled up about the same amount as a stock trucks are down. So I figured that by adding spindles would have mine angled up as much as a truck with ford keys has them down. And you are going 3" beyond that!

Re: Opinions from lowered truck owners

Right now Im at 3"LCA and 2 from Keys and my CV sit straight, barely first ring touching, if that. It's actually pretty level now so I might just leave it alone. I wont know for sure what Im going to do until I align it and do the c notch tonight and drive it.

Basically, nothing should hang past the imaginary "scrub line" , or the lowest point of the the wheel diameter.

BHB, are you sure that is an issue on the 4wd trucks? I know it is on 2wd trucks, especially the obs.

Re: Opinions from lowered truck owners

I'm jealous they make lowering spindles for nbs trucks and not obs or else id go that route too. Even though my cv's are bad enough

Can't wait to see how yours comes out

on the DJM nbs 4wd drop arms, the drop is achieved by re-clocking the socket the torsion bar slips into, not by raising the lower balljoint location. Does the same thing as a drop key just on the other end of the bar.

Make sure you get some side shots and fenderwell measurements!

Wheel diameter, and tire size may be determining factors.
