I have also cranked my Tbars all the way down, but now the ass is way up in the air, so im gonna C notch and flip kit it after I get the body kit and paint finished. Let me know how much more of a drop you get with your new keys.
It looks level from this angle, I dont have a profile shot that shows how bad its raked out.

1: you can't put 2wd front suspension on a 4wd frame
2: that truck is god-awful ugly. good luck with that body work..

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Lol geez alot of love around here!! Everybody has their own taste. Mines just gonna be debadges, murdered, and shaved. All black FTW! But I decided im just gonna buy the belltech keys. Once I get my transmission rebuit.... hopefully within the next month ill have the front done. Ive NEVER thought about lowering a 4x4 until I found this section, ive always been about body lift and crankin and stuffin big tires. Now its time to drop it down and stick to the street. Im also considering the Hellwig swaybars from summit when I drop it. For the rear im gonna be runnin 5 leaf 3/4 ton springs with no overload and the axle flipped which should put me around 5". Do I have any GOOD choices how to run shocks with the rear flipped besides making my own brackets? I dont like the cheesy shock extenders....

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Alright children it doesnt look that great lol but everybody has their own taste it will probably look cool if he ever finished it and slaps some nice paint and wheels on it. Now then, back to my truck, does anybody know how far down you can go on the front of these trucks AFTER decranking the torsion bars? Im just wondering how much FURTHER mine will go with aftermarket keys.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
SWEET! Thats what I wanted to hear. Wow I didnt know that because most companys just advertise 1-3" drop!! I didnt measure how far my stock keys dropped because I had the truck cranked up 1.5" before I dropped it.

When I decranked my stock keys I got a full 3in drop. let me know what keys you go with. And do you know how far you can drop the back before you have to go with a notch?

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Well for some reason all the rear suspension is the same between 2wd and 4wds, same springs and everything besides where the front hangers are the frame is just taller but drop hangers will still work. Ive heard that a 6" flip kit on a 4wd will only be about 4-5" and anything more than 4" you're gonna want a notch.... Which im definately doing a notch.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
If you do a flip kit on a 4x4 you will want to notch the frame. If you don't go the flip kit route you most likely won't need to. I only hit the bump stops if im hauling something and i have about 2 1/4 inches of clearance.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
thanks man, I'm looking into body dropping it a few inches so it'll hide the frame rails, they sit down so dang far on 4x4s, I have 4" ground clearance.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Yep after I saw your truck and found out you have the belltech keys, thats EXACTLY what ive been looking for. Except mines going to be completely blacked out. That truck still looks sick bro I think you should shave the tailgate and the doors though. Im goin with a flip kit, shackles, and notch it. My biggest problem is I have to clearance my bed since I have the big 9.5" rear its awesome.... I cant wait until I get my transmission. Should be by the end of next month ill be done lowering it. Ill definately get pics.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
My plans now are to shave the gate and get a 88-93 front end with a color matched phantom grille. Since my sig i've color matched a few things to get me by through winter, then next summer i hope to put my plans into action.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Damn guys I really cant make up my mind.... all my buddys are runnin 22s around here and nobody can pull off 24s and make it look clean. Only crappy stock trucks with 24s stuffed in there. The only way I can get CLOSE from rubbing is with a +35 or bigger offset. The wheels I wanna run only come in a +25 offset. So I need you're help, slam it as low as possible and run 22s, or leave it up a little and just run the 24s?? I just like bein different since the whole truck will be murdered out when I get the wheels.
