Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Id say find a 24" rim that has an offset of +35 or more and slam it. When wheels stick out it looks horrible. I could fit 24's if i wanted to.

Thanks for the tip. And I agree with everybody else, your truck looks good. You have the exact stance that I want.
And, I was about to throw away my 94 front facia. It already has most of the chrome plating removed and the factory grill plastic is removed also. Ill post some pics tomorrow if your interested. If so, just pay for shipping and its yours.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Thats gonna look nice with the phantom grill. I just cant find ANY black 6 lug 24s that look good with the right offset! Ive looked through TONS of companies.... I work at discount tire thats all I do is search for wheels when im free lol. I know I can fit them IF I get the correct offset....

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
What kind of rim design are you looking for? I know boss makes one wheel in a 24" with +40.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Im trying to go solid black... preferably a matte black. I dont like glossy black wheels. Which ones are you talkin about?

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
The 333's but they have a chrome lip and are glossy.

Might have to get a wheel design you like and have them powder coated matte.

They mount the same, if that's what you mean.

He cut the bumper in half and shortened it and cut the mounting brackets and removed the bumper fillers. He has a build thread somewhere his user name is Beyond Static©.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Yeaaa im not a big fan of those. Ive search over a hundred different manufacturers and havent found any good lookin 24s. I found a few with a +35 offset which would WORK but be really tight because they're all 24x10s. I think im just gonna stick with 22s just so I dont break the bank. I wont be getting wheels until about tax season so maybe some manufactures will be coming out with new models!! I know all the 07-up GM SUVs need a +35 or bigger offset so maybe there will be more demand!

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
I think you'd be happy with that setup. Even with that setup you can still fit some 285s or 305 for handling purposes =) I finally found some 24s if I wanna get crazy.... What do you guys think about these wheels?
They look pretty sick and they have ALOT of black haha I dunno these are my ONLY choice. My only problem is they're a 24x10 which is still going to stick out a little more which means even with a 40mm offset they might rub because they will stick out 3/4 of an inch farther than the 22s I want. GEEZ wheels are so hard to choose lol I guess ill just have to wait and see how close I am once I slam it....

You are a man of exceptional taste. Those are the wheels that I was going to put on mine at first.

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
PSH I know I was considering those.... but for the money Id dish out for those I could almost buy a pro charger for my truck!! I couldnt find a single website that had those wheels for under $600 a piece. Insane but they would definately look sick and I know they'd fit but Money IS an issue so im gonna run with my original wheels and stick with 22s. Hopefully somebody will be brave enough to try some 24s!!

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
I'm all for a clean low truck with nice wheels but you said you are lowering this truck for strip, basically, i'd say go with 20's or 22's because of tire prices... i'm more budget minded when it comes to this stuff. just my 2 pennies

Re: Dropping OBS 4x4
Well guys im gonna be rollin on some stock tahoe 20s with the polished clear coat :-) I ended up swapping a guy for some almost new wheels for my old moto metals. I know he came out better because mine cost more but I cant find those wheels anywhere reasonable!! No matter what im stuck on the Nitto NT420S because they're badass performance tire and they last a while. Probably gonna ride some 265/50/20s Ill get pictures up asap when I get some tires. Hopefully by next weekend ill have my tranny out. Then its onto the flip kit and drop keys!
