Lowered Longbeds?

Anyone on here rocking a lowered longbed? I plan on lowering mine in the near future and was wondering if anyone has done the same. It's a ec/lb so I'm thinking it will be pretty unique to get it closer to the ground. I'm going to go with the mcguaghys kit most likely, heard mostly good things about it.

Re: Lowered Longbeds?

You see 'em from time to time. I had a friend with an '89 RCLB that had a 4/6 on it years ago. I always liked it.

You'll have something unusual since most lowered guys go for the shortbed, but longbeds can be cool too.

Re: Lowered Longbeds?

I think there was a member named Ikon or something similar that had a pink/black two tone RCLB that looked pretty good (i actually didn't mind the pink on his truck). It was bagged but i don't know if it was body dropped. It was sitting pretty low though.

Don't worry about dropping an RCLB, i think that these trucks look good in every single direction you can take them. They look good as a street truck, lifted truck, work mule, as a dually hauler (not so much in RCSB), etc. It's the classic truck proportions.

I think he was gonna repaint it but i haven't seen him around here in the last little while, so he might be completely gone from FSC. I'm not sure though.

Re: Lowered Longbeds?

Most have the short beds but I've seen a half dozen or so long beds between here & there that looked pretty sweet lowered. I'm a fan of having & doing things a little different so I say **go for it** if that's what you really want to do.

Re: Lowered Longbeds?

2wd. 2" Belltech spindles, stock springs front and back, DJM hangers and shackles in back, Edelbrock IAS shocks in front with DJM shocks in back. Thanx! I also used that spring donut from Belltech to raise the driver front.
