Re: Years with Drops
My '69 has been bagged for a little over 8 years. Tahoe was dropped the day I drove it home 2.5 years ago. Every vehicle I've owned for 20+ years has been dropped... usually verrrrrrry low. I had a B2200 back in the 80's that had quite a collection of road dots stuck inside the spare tire. Oops.

Re: Years with Drops
OK, I hate to just jump into the middle of a conversation. BUT...
I am looking for some pics(like the rest) of an '04 ish reg cab. I cannot decide between an 2/3 or a 3/4 on 20's. I just want to do this drop once and forget about it. I have questions about alignment, drop components, backspacing and ultimately tire size. 275/45 most likely so that my speedo will be close. I am hoping to find "THE LOOK" so I don't waste too much time and money. If you can help please just mssg me with the pics or links. Thanks.

Re: Years with Drops
Yeah, I have had the bug a few times in the past. Let me see, '97 chevy dually, '94 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy, '91 S10, '84 firebird, '96 T-bird, '69 ford F100 and last but not least, my home built chopper. All in the last few years. All customized, lowered, hot rodded in some way. Actually in many ways. Kind of an addiction for me. This time I have less time, money and a lack of somewhere to do the work. This time I need time be a little more proactive and plan my project. If I had my own garage and a second vehicle I would bag it and be done with it.

BTW, how well will an '04 align with 3 in drop springs and will I need a notch for a 4 inch drop in the rear?

If you're worried about ride quality at all, go with 2" spindles and a 1" spring.

For a RCSB you probably won't need a notch unless you load down the back often.

Re: Years with Drops
78 C10 with a 4/6, then dropped the helper leaf and added Cal-Tracs currently on 15's.
