well guys i am not having any luck finding a diagram of full detailed specs on the accessory drive system.. if i start feeling warm i'll go outside and measure it, its -2 with a high today of +4, windchills are insane -22 and its even sunny!
what i am thinkings gonna happen, i'll measure the Circumference of each accessory and the distance between each pully and maybe that will help figure out the speed the york will spin at. inline serp vs. addtl. v groove belt and new alt pulley...

well if u spin the york off of a alt pulley, u would have to measure the alt pulley

but the size of a york clutch is around 6inches
and on the onbaordair web site

they have that combo pulley the v-belt is 2.75inches

so with that it should be about 1:2, alittle less
so with that then the york should spin about double the speed of the of the alt pulley

so if im thinking right then when ever ur engine idles at, say around 800rpm, the york should speed about 1600rpm maybe just a little bit more because that combo pulley is less then 3inches

i got my brackets from onboardair tuesday
but ups just left it in the bed of my truck and i just found it today

they didn't even ring my door bell or leave a note or anything

they just left it in my bed, and so
i didn't drive my truck tuesday or wednesday, so i opened it up at work today

and so my order was messed up also, they gave me the fittings for the ford style yorks, and i ordered the reg fittings
so i have to send the fittings back or try and find the ford style yorks fittings around here from a junk yard

the brackets from onboardair are pretty bad a$$, its made out of 1/4 steel, and so far no mods to the bracket to bolt it up to the york, but i havn't installed it in the truck yet

but my goal is to have my engine driven compressor working by feb 1st

wouldn't it actually spin just under 1/2 speed of the alt?
diam 2.75" cir. of alt 8.635
diam 6" cir. of york 18.84
diam 7"? cir. of crank is 21.98

max rpm on a york is 6000rpm.. if at idle its 1600rpm, at engine 5500rpm, its gonna melt at 11000rpm!!!
i dont know what the stock crank size is though ??
depending on actual size of crank, if 7" or more would be faster??

am i missin sumpin?

i got that york dipstick

paid $5 for it, looking at it, i should have just made my own

its really ez to make

its 1/8 pipe with an angle on it and the notches for the levels are in 8ths from each other

anyone can make their own, i just need to find the angle of wut the bar is, but that shouldn't be to hard

also i need to find out how long the bar is, but i think its 8 and something inches long

i talked to onboardair today and they are gonna sent me the right fittings for free because they sent the wrong ones in the 1st place

i found some info on the dipstick on the onboardair web site
the dipstick is at 78deg

1/8diax8-5/16

huty duty and standard models
oil charge vs dipstick depth
vertical mount horizontal 45deg
8oz = 1in 1 1-13/16
10oz = 1-1/8 1=3/16 2
120z = 1-7/16 1-5/8 2-1/4

loki i can take a picture of mine or u can go to teh onboardair web site and see how it looks but with the specs i got from their site u shouldn't having any problems making ur own

right now im kinda feeling
hujicoehawifdjaslefjda
i planned on installing my york tonight, and i knew the fittings were gonna get here

well it looked like it was gonna rain, so my wife told me to wait and do it saturday

well i just got off the phone with onboardair.com again and this time they remember me by 1st name and wut state i live in

they sent me the wrong fittings again, for the 2nd time
they told me some high level person is gonna call me tomorrow morning

my goal is still to have it installed and working by the begining of feb witch can still be done

so im gonna try and see if i can get them to next day air out the fittings or even 2 day air then out to me

so i can get it done this weekend

my york is a flange fittings and now i have 2 sets of Rotolock & Tube-O Fittings with o-rings

maybe this is the good lord telling me to go buy a Rotolock style york compressor new from autozone or something

hahahahah,
the customer servise person over their at onboardair is really really nice,
i don't think their a bad company i just think me and them are some how not on the same levels when were on the phone
oh well, sh*t happenes

ohh yeah, working with the guy that sells these york 210's from the origional post on a group deal, $190 with clutch, double v groove or serp with 1 year warantee.. werking on a better price and bulk deal

i can't seem to find the exact part # from local parts shops, napa, united, car quest, autozone, to check for compressors either?

certain cars/trucks to search for, we come up with too many options... ie; years, makes, models, engines?

also, stainless steel leader hoses?? trying to keep everything 1/2 fittings too..

well found some cheaper hoses, ebay!!!!

1/2" x 27" only $22

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2594004242

1/2" x 36" only $26

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2547583815

again, group purchase (bulk) discounts and decent shipping! working on this too...

yup yup, i got some info, went to autozones website,, the diferences are weather the ac is dealer or factory installed.. the factory is 85 with 10 core and the dealer installed is 169 with 10 core.... EDIT plus cores not with...

question is will they both be yorks? right fitting style ect?

ok..
TUBE-O STYLE

FLANGE STYLE

both fittings are offered from onboard air for $25 pair..
also got this email response from guy on ebay selling the compressors with clutches...

"Steve, the compressor we are offering are what is called new generic compressors with new clutches. What this is, we buy these from the manufacturer York Climate Control out of Decatur, Il. We have been buying these for over 30 years and the primary purpose is for automotive a/c. We have been selling these to companies such as Onboard Air for many years. So the fit will be the same as what they are offering. We started selling these at the same price we were offering these to our distributors over E-bay so we do not have much room to cut prices but we can give you a break on shipping when you order mulitiple quantities. You will also need to be aware that York lost there largest two companies they were selling these compressors to last year so they have been steadily increasing the cost. I have already had to increase our selling price three times within the past 6 months due to these increases. Now back on the Generic models we are selling. These are ran down the same line as the new compressor and build exactly the same, the differance being is York does not offer a warranty on the compressor to us. This means we are responsible for whatever warranty we offer. As you can see with the add we are offering a one year warranty which we do take care of. When you are ready to purchase the compressor you can do it off E-bay or call indirect we do not care just inform us you want it with the V-belt clutch.
J.W."
