Re: Big sway bars??
I would like to know too. right now I have stock front no rear, but after taking it to the track, I may want at least a rear.

Re: Big sway bars??
buy one, you'll have it on in about 45 minutes. you won't regret it one minute. mine handled like a slot car with it (also eliminated my nasty tire rub i had). I used one with the stock front bar and a bigger front bar - couldn't tell much difference. So I'd stick with just a rear bar and the factory front bar.

Why for say the Belltech rear bar it says it fits 6 lug models only? My 88 is 5 lug, what is the difference?

Re: Big sway bars??
for a rear bar get one off a burb you can use 3" mufler clamps to bolt it to the axil and endlinks off a 97 expidition drill 4 holes in the frame for the endlinks and its in takes like 20 min oh and you need to get some energy polly bushings so the brackets fit the clamps $19.99 at the zone. all and all ive only spent $50.00 on every thing including the bar.

Not sure, somebody correct me if I'm wrong. 5 lug is 2wd 6 lug is 4wd. They must fit 4wd models.
m grasso,
do you have any pics of your bar installed?

Re: Big sway bars??
Spohn Performance makes some. You have to email him about them because they are not on the site.

Re: Big sway bars??
I've got front/rear sways on my Tahoe... only had the front from the factory. Definitely a worthwhile mod.

just go out to a junkyard and get one off a sub or 4 door tahoe. then you will see how its installed. and should be really cheap.

I never thought about doing that eventhough it's mentioned all the time on here. I have one about 2 mi. down the road. I'm calling tomorrow.

Re: Big sway bars??
i have a 92 with a 5-8 drop and i thought it was great in the turns then i put on a hotchkiss rear bar and new endlinks and bushings on the front sway and holy crap i could tell a diff!! when your in the freeway and moved the wheel side to side you could feel the bed of the truck "lag" almost like the tires were flexing! im runnin 315/35s in the rear so there cant be much if any side flex in the tire. once i added the rear bar the "lag" was gone and the truck felt MUCH better!

Did you use Hotchkis endlinks as well? Is your front bar stock? What bushings did you use on the front?
