Re: OBS Stock Floor Body-Drop how-to....lay that rocker

correct. the only thing different in a stock floor and a traditional/conventional is the cutting of the frame under the cab rather than just cutting the cab

Core support didnt change too much. In fact if you trim the frame horns enough you dont have to mod it at all.

Steering shaft contact my frame a little near the box. You can either get a street rod shaft or massage the frame slightly.

Re: OBS Stock Floor Body-Drop how-to....lay that rocker

on the second page of the thread jimmy says you just have to cut the bottom half of the frame down 1" to get it to lay rocker. I have seen this done on other truck sites. Check this site out so see a over view on how to get a square body down in the rockers.
http://www.loweredd.com/Frame_Z.html
Maybe some one that knows what they are doing could check out this site two and let me know how good it is, or whats the best way to go about it. I am going to try it on my truck this winter.

Re: OBS Stock Floor Body-Drop how-to....lay that rocker

you have to raise it about an inch and a half towards the front. I just cut mine out, bodydropped it and welded it back on where it needed to be.

Those tires should clear. I dont know HHH's tire size, but he is on 20's with a stock firewall. So is this guy I know with a tahoe.
