Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
Just did this on my 04 sierra and its awesome! I have two 6in lights wired in with the fogs so they come on too! Super bright! I want to get silverstars and put 9005's in the fogs aswell. Only problem I had was getting the BCM out. Couldn't slide it back to get it out of the clips and there was a bunch of wiring holing it in place. I loosened off the bracket and flexed it to get it out enough to pull the plug. The wiring still held it up but i worked alright. Just a little more akward thats all.

Be careful putting silverstars in the fogs, I've read alot of times that they can melt the plug.
BTW, in another thread it says that fogs are H10 bulb, try and find that one maybe it'll work better.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
As far as I remember, silverstars run at a lower wattage than the factory 9005's, so they may be cooler. If I'm wrong, someone chime in...

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
This works great- thanks! Hey, has anyone figured out how to make the daytime running lights come on too? I know, never enough light, but they are just sitting there and could be useful when I am out there shoveling snow on the way to my cabin :)

Hmm not sure out that. I haven't had any in for a long period of time. I tried stock ones to make sure they fit in the socket and they do, but never had them in long enought to see any damage. I will look into that a bit more. My other option is HID's but i'm not sure about them yet.
Thanks!

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
I did the way to have the fog lights turn on with the auto lows but with them ran like that, the lows wont stay on with the highs and fogs. You can pull the turn signal bar back and all 3 sets are on, but when you push it forward for highs, the highs come on, and fogs stay with them, but the lows cut off. I did the diode from fogs to low and fogs to high like americanmetal said, but it wont retain the all 3 on highs.
I would like fogs to come on with auto lows when I turn the truck on at night, as well as have all fogs, lows, and highs when I turn on my highs, did I not do something right? Or is there no way to do this and I'll have to just continue to manually turn my fogs on everytime?

It cannot be done on a '00 in the same way. I'm not sure exactly how to do it but I believe it involves putting and a relay and ****. I'm sure if you do a search you can find it no problem. I know my friend just did it but I would have to ask him how because I wasn't there. It can definately be done. Just takes a little more work. Definetly try the search tool. You shouldn't have any problem finding it.
EDIT: I see someone has already posted a thread

I am honestly not too knowledgeable in this department but I was actually thinking about the same thing. Right now I have just highs with lows and fogs because I also have 2 6 inch lights wired into my fogs for now which will blind people. Right now I have it high to fog and high to low. I was thinking you might be able to do low to fog and then high to low. Im not sure if this will work but my theory is that when highs go on so will lows which will make the fogs go on. Again i'm not an expert by any means but it may be worth a try.

I just did this mod to both of my trucks and it took less than 15 total.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
Anyone found out if there's a way to do 4 HI on the new 08+ ?
My dad has a 09 silverado and wants to be able to have lows, highs, and fogs on.
When he got the truck I did a look around to see what all has changed, and the BCM in there is MUCH bigger than our 03-07 BCM's.
I'd be willing to be it's the same principle to get it all to work.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone that helped out on this mod. It took me less than 10min to install diodes. I did like the diagram showed and I can now have hi and lows on @ the same time and also hi,lows, and fogs.
THANKS AGAIN!! Now I'm just waiting for my HIDs to arrive.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
Thanks for the fantastic walk through! Worked beautifully right away! I changed the mod a little to run the lows and DRLs with the highs since I don't have factory fogs.
