Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
Normally when you pull the lever toward you all lights are lit(until released). What effect does this mod have on that function, if any?

None, you can still "flash" your brights by pulling the stem towards you

Thanks for the quick reply. That's what I thought but wanted to make sure.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
OK, I did the following and came up with almost what I expected.
(All under the dash)
Connect HIGH to LOW
Connect LOW to FOG
Connect PARKING to DRL (Note: parking is the Gray/Black wire on pin B2 in the middle brown colored clip)
Everything works as expected except when turning on fogs only or auto mode. i.e. The only time the DRL come on with the Parks is when I manually select Parks or Headlights with the switch, they don't come on with the auto selection or with the Fogs alone. Not exactly sure why but I guess it's not really that big a deal. Does anyone have a pinout schematic of the bcm? That would make things a bit easier.

From my experiance, the diodes will cancel each other out if you use to many. Let us know if you figure anything else out

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
I don't think they're canceling, more than likely using more than 2 from one source will just cause too much of a voltage drop to activate the latter stages.
My situation seems different.(I haven't checked normal DRL yet since it's dark right now but they should function as normal)
On auto I can run either fogs+parks(after killing the lights), lows+fogs+parks, high+low+fogs+parks. When I turn the switch to Parks, I get parks+DRL and I can turn fogs on/off. When I turn the switch to Heads, I can run every light or all but highs.
I guess it actually makes it pretty versatile that way.
Now to find some amber DRL bulbs, bcm schematic, and some bcm tuning software.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
Go back threw this tread and reread all my post. I played with every thing getting this to work. To get all to light up all the time I went under the hood, with one in the bcm. Good luck.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
I saw your posts but that's not exactly what I was looking to do. I can still achieve all on with the switch. What I wanted to do was tie the drls to the parking lights... which I halfass did, just have to use the switch. I also noticed that the drl bulbs are dual filament. What I think I would like to do is run amber bulbs in the drl and make them pull double duty as clone parking/blinkers/hazzards.
Would a chilton's or some such book have wiring diagrams?
**edit**
Well I just ordered the chiltons and haynes, so I guess I'll find out.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
I just miseunderstood what you wanted. I would think the only way to do that would be cut and splice with a relay, I could be wrong.

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
Yes it can be done a couple of ways. Reread what GB's03 and I have done.

That makes sense now that you specify the DRLs. It can be done, I just didn't care to do it

Re: 4-HI Headlight mod 03+
On mine at night if you turn auto off and hit fogs you get parking/fogs. However if you turn auto to parking you get park/drl and you can add the fogs w/ switch... and then it looks just like your sig.
