On the 94 cluster w/out tac you only need 5 bulbs and you'll need to solder. You all also don't have to get the white stuff off the face for blue leds.

No, I still haven't done the HVAC, I completely forgot about it. I actually am going to do a few things to the truck here pretty soon, i've got money saved up for it. Namely a grille swap and some HIDs. And no I need to drive less, I don't want any more miles on it, I want to preserve it. I want to drive my other car more, even though I want to keep the miles off of that too. Oh well, I don't know what to do, I guess I need something high mileage that I can drive as much as I want.

This was a big help, thanks... i just finished today and i cant wait to get the money for some blue leds...
While I had it apart i modified it to read past 85... hehehe

lol thanks, i cant afford a new cluster... so i made the tach fit. Next will be blue leds
Nope... there is a little prong that stops it at 85 so i made the hole for the prong longer... hard to explain...
By the way, you are so lucky you got a 91 cluster with the tach, i had to do the connector swap and put in a DRAC...

wait, let me get this straight
you have a 91 with a FACTORY needle gauge cluster with NO tach????? thats like rarer then if it did have a tach! most 91's had the moonie cluster except the late 91's.

The tach-less needle cluster came out in 92, he did the DRAC swap, it says in his post.

Hahah ya i did the DRAC swap, and i believe its a 93 cluster, would have liked the one with the tach, but this one was free...
Anyone hear of spray painting your light bulbs? And if you have, why not?

The paint could burn off, and it won't be transparent. Plus LEDs aren't that expensive, you mine as well just buy some.

Okay, the burning part is what i was afraid of... i got some blue colored ones from auto zone but they faded is 6 months? WTF? ya ill jus save my money for some leds... any stores sell them? Cuz its hard for me to order online...
Another wild thought of mine... Thin coat of blue spray paint where i scrapped the green off?
