Auto foglights
This makes it so your fog lights automatically come on with your parking lights (auto headlights, etc). It also flashes them when locking/unlocking and keeps them on when you switch to high beams. I am copying and pasting this mod from BigBlue on Chevyhoes.com. My comments will follow.

Locate the body control module under the dash just to the right of the steering wheel. On the middle connector is a dark green/white wire on pin A7. This wire goes from the BCM to the coil of the Fog Lamp Relay. Cut this wire and take the Fog lamp Relay coil end to a good ground. I went to the black wire on the trailor connector socket under the dash on to the left of the steering wheel.

For follow-up, I just did this to mine and it is awesome! It's really easy, and I even had all my alarm junk right in front of the electrical center.

A few tips:
-The electrical center mentioned in the post is directly under the steering wheel, not to the right of it. You have to take off the bottom trim panel to access it.
-there are two dark green wires with white stripes in the middle connector. The one you want is in the middle on the bottom row-if you can read it, it says 7 right under it.
-Once you cut it, ground it anywhere that's suitable. I had a self-tapping screw in the metal bar under the dash for something else, and I used that for this app.
-And for clarification, youre grounding the wire coming from far back in the dash (long one), not the one coming from A7 in the electrical center.

Hmm for all I know, this works on the 99-02's. I forgot about that different headlight switch on the 03+ models. Not too sure what to suggest, because the wiring harness may be in the same place but the wire may be completely different. Sorry 'bout that, wish I could help

Will this work on my '02 Silverado? Is there a way to do this without cutting the factory wiring?

It'll work on an 02-thats what I did it on

I guess you can just splice into the wire and ground it, and since it will always be getting constant ground it should work the same.

Re: Auto foglights
I ave mine come on when the truck comes on, I connected the DRL relay and the Fog lamp relay under the hood. So now my foglights are on when my DRL are on, and also when my low and or high beam lights are on. I also did the 4 Hi mod, talk about bright, fog lights, lo beams and the high beams, all at once.

Re: Auto foglights
mines a 92 but i did it a bit easier, ran the lights to the battery, then battery to my headlights. foglamps come on whenever i turn the parking lights on and stay on with low and high beams. whats funny is that the foglamps are brighter than my low beams.

Will this mod make it so you don't have to have the BCM re-programmed?

How is adding a relay easier than grounding one wire?

Re: Auto foglights
There is one downside: You cannot turn the fogs off after this mod. Unless you wire a new switch. Fine with me, just letting others who are considering the mod know.
