mine has 4.10s with the 12-bolt G86 Dana LSD. These quadrasteers came with nice axles!

I have the code GU4 in my glove box on the sticker but i called a chevy dealership and gave them my vin # and they said that i have 4.10's. I am not sure who to belieave

the GU4 are 3.08's by the way so i should feel a huge difference between a 3.08 and 4.10's

What rpm does it run at in 3rd (automatic, or your 1:1 gear, say 4th in a stick)) and 80 mph? 4.10's will be close to 4100 rpm. 3.08's will be around 3100 rpm. Easy ballpark of gearing....

102 mph in D(3rd) with 3.42 with 31" tires at 4000 rpm... just so u guys know i made a quick run to a concert one night and we had a gps and a radar and six people in a ext. cab obs 93 and it did not want to go any faster than that and i was not going to push it an harder than half throlte...One GOod Brad Pasdley Concert though

Thanks for the help all. I checked mine last night. I found the rpocodes.com website very helpful. Covered about 95% of mine.

I have a GT4 G80 (3.73 14 bolt) On my 1996 K1500...165K Miles Ok so when I put it in reverse it kicks, and if i move the throttle beyond idle, it will kick again, HARD... one shop told me it was the rear end,and I'm lost, I haven't had the truck for that long, had a granny car before hand (Bonneville) LOL! Anyway, does this sound right? Tranny doesn't leak... and fluid is Perfect color, transfer case is leaking a little, but I'm getting that fixed... Should I spend a ton on having parts thrown into this rear end, should I go to the Junkyard and find one from a truck with less miles? HELP!
