GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO

Excellent! I have the 3.73, L/S. It would be nice to know what all those codes mean.

Open Your glovebox and look inside it. Should be a list of codes on the bottom.

Yeah, just look in the glovebox. It's just a little sticker with a list of 3 letter codes which are all of the options your truck came with.

I'm not sure what gear ratio that would be. I'm guessing it could be 3.73? I'll do a little research in the morning and see what I can come up with.

You should also have a code for a ratio. The G80 is just the limited slip, and has nothing to do with ratio. I think G80 is actually a locking diff, but i'm not sure

I can't seem to find the rear end code in my '01 tahoe. I see the big list of 3 digit codes in the glove box, but not one of them even start with a "G". Any help?

Wow. According to that, I have a 3.42 posi.

I'd sure like to stick that rear end under my Malibu and put the 3.73 from the 'bu in the truck.

Thanks, Brendan.
