Rear End Ratio RPO Codes Here
GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
G80 -- AXLE REAR, LIMITED SLIP (POSITRACTION)
HC4 -- AXLE REAR, 4.56 RATIO
I am finishing up a complete RPO code list that will soon be on my website, but I thought I would post these here for the time being.

Open Your glovebox and look inside it. Should be a list of codes on the bottom.

Yeah, just look in the glovebox. It's just a little sticker with a list of 3 letter codes which are all of the options your truck came with.

Went and took a look in the glove box and found it.
G80.......from your list that would be the Limited Slip (posi)
does this have a gear ratio?.......

I'm not sure what gear ratio that would be. I'm guessing it could be 3.73? I'll do a little research in the morning and see what I can come up with.

You should also have a code for a ratio. The G80 is just the limited slip, and has nothing to do with ratio. I think G80 is actually a locking diff, but i'm not sure

I can't seem to find the rear end code in my '01 tahoe. I see the big list of 3 digit codes in the glove box, but not one of them even start with a "G". Any help?
