undertattood--- a dealer can go back and inspect at your cost, that particular clips or modifications and so forth have been done---but the only thing is this, you have had no recall on your abs sensors--- the recall for inspecting the sensors was only for those vehicles in salt states, meaning they use a lot of salt on their roads for melting snow and ice--if your abs sensor/s were not working, then the abs lite would be on and the system would not work at all-- just the opposite of what you are experiencing

second of all i have not heard of a recall for parking brake--there is a tsb for different clips for the parking assist brake in the newer trucks to keep them from wearing out so fast but that is all
trust me when i say if you have disc brakes in the rear, you have very very small parking assist shoes--only meant to hold vehicle still if in gear and on level ground at idle only--thats all it has to do anyway---these shoes wear out somewhat fast--best thing to do is to have someone check out the parking assist shoes and let you know the shape they are in

notice i call them parking assist not parking brake---gm does this for a reason and i just explained it---these are NOT parking brakes from the old days

didnt mean to get longwinded this early in am but you needed a good explanation to your situation

again a recall for the sensors was never issued on your vehicle because of where the vehicle is presently or because of the dealer it was originally shipped to--second again have someone check those rear parking assist shoes for condition but remember they dont not work and/or act like parking brakes

Im having ABS problems when i scanned the computer i got about 4-5 codes hoping some of it can be fixed through a recall. I was told to check this first because there was some type of recal on the ABS around my year... also maybe the tailgate straps...one is broken. Thanks in advance...

Hey Triton, I have another VIN for you. It's my previous truck, an '00 Silverado 1500 RCSB. I recieved a recall notice a little over a month ago, but it doasn't state what it's for. I'm assuming it's for the tailgate cables, but would rather know for sure. I sold the truck about 3 months ago, so also not sure why I recieved the notice unless the buyers are slow at changing over the title.

Anyway, I'd like to let them know what it's for, in case they still don't know. Thanks!
