Re: Finding Out If Your Vehicle Has A Recall Is Very Easy
Hey triton i picked up that part number yesterday to fix my fuel pump and it wouldn't work. It came with all new plugs, and everything but the wires on the harness were too short. my tank was too deep. i even told the guy at chevy that they seemed too short and he swaid they would be fine. oh well. if it wasn't for that it would have worked. i got an old fuel pump from a friend who had one and made mine work by piecing them together.Hopefully they will catch up with the recall before it happends again. Thanks anyway!!

Re: Finding Out If Your Vehicle Has A Recall Is Very Easy
yea, for now as long as it doesn't happen again. pull the part and look in the box. how long are Grey and Black wires? mine need to be about 10in. long. on the kit he gave me they were no more than 4-5in.

Re: Finding Out If Your Vehicle Has A Recall Is Very Easy
anybody else--wont be back to work till monday----we have already found several vehicles with outstanding recalls--even if you have another gm product other than truck or suv post the serial # and ill run the numbers
would hate it if someone had a serious defect to the vehicle and kept driving it around--or went to pay to have something fixed that was recalled

Re: Finding Out If Your Vehicle Has A Recall Is Very Easy
Triton I had the tail gate straps replaced and they are all ready rusting out again. There was also a recall on ABS brakes. It seems rust was building up on the wheel sensors messing up the gap between the sensors and the rotors. Made for some scarry stops, until my mech. fixed them. I was reimbursed by Chevy for my costs. Willy

Re: Finding Out If Your Vehicle Has A Recall Is Very Easy
Hi, my VIN is 1GNEK18K8PJ385251
The original owner of my truck owned a Chevy dealer in MA, where the truck was originally delivered, so I'm wondering if there is any record of what may have been done to it.
Thanks in advance for doing this, your generosity is greatly appreciated...
