LOFFEN---first vin # does not come up--is this an old vehicle--not enough digits in vin #---second vehicle has no recalls

e-5---your vehicle is clean

VA2500hd--recall 05037--second row center safety belt--dealer will take second row center seat belt out of the loop and sew it shut--something about the way it fits different sized people that is not safe or helpful in a wreck----take to dealer--should take about 45 min.

derrangle-- 2825984 is the first vin and it has recall #04007-tailgate strap replacements due--second vin is clean---take first vehicle to dealer to have repair done--take about 15-20 min.

Are there any recalls on 01 seat belts that lock up. If I fart my belts will lock up and are very hard to get free

CLEANGREEN--free and clear

johnrxl--no recalls--as far as s/b, they are listed by concern--i could pull up numerous s/b applying to your vehicle, but these are only tips for technicians and most of the times not problems for vehicles

2 PROBLEMS WITH THAT---

1-what s/b are you refering too

2-- each and every one is copyrighted so i can not just copy and send along--they are meant for GM techs at GM dealerships only

what i can do, if you can give me a specific concern or complaint on the vehcile, i can ck to see if there are any service bulletins pertaining to it and then give you an over view of what is contained in the bulletin---

without going into detail john, there is a legal matter with copying and then sending these bulletins out without consent from GM-each and every tsb that come out from GM has the copyright info at the bottom of each and every page--and trust me the boys at GM do watch forums such as this from time to time

so tell me what concern you have, and i will try to help you with it

Thanks! Are there any others open, and were there any recalls on mine pertaining to the fuel pump/system?

Also - The intermittent setting is all over the place and the wiper motor just does goofy stuff in general - any chance I can have the previous dealership's work checked & verified? Needless to say they screwed me around enough to make me question everything they've done, and this wouldn't be the 1st thing they were "less than honest" about.

i just bought a 97 c2500. i would imagine everything has already been done but i thought i would check for sure. the vin is 1gcgc29r6ve169601.

i also wanted t ask if a dealership could tell me what came standard on my truck and the options installed. basically all the info on the window sticker.

REDRADER---ck that vin # again--does not come up and that would be very odd for a 97 model--please ck the vin again for me

lostboy---no, the recall had to do with w/wiper and washer pulse control module replacement--very common for those circuit boards to go bad--usually dealer installed another board and then put a fine bead of silicone on cover when reattaching it to seal it off---most of the time when they come in, and the wipers dont work, there is a bad soldier spot on the board--we replace the board of corse but i have 2 spares for my truck where i fixed the soldier connection--i just hope one of them works when i need it to------if i were you, i would just get another circuit board--they are not much at all and takes about 15 min. to install
