If it is losing it in the tranny it's the tranny seal.
I would also check your t-case to make sure it hasen't overfilled.

If you have it apart I am pretty sure it has both, you may as well do both. If one went bad how much longer before the other goes.

Anyway, you should also put some silicone or sealant between them too.

You have to take the both DS down, just from the t-case so long as you can get them out of the way to get the t-case out.

Take the t-case shift linkage/wires off, then should just be unbolt it, put new seals in, and hook everything up again.

Pretty sure that is all you have.

So all in all maybe if your quick an hour, at most maybe 3.
I would say if your mech inclined but don't quite know what you are doing, because you haven't done it, probably 2 hours.

It may be usefull to have a half moon wrench to get some of the bolts.

Don't know if you have done a seal or not, but if not, when you do just make sure it goes in evenly.

it is a gasket between the trans and t-case, it seals in trans fluid, the t-case has a seal in there as well, but you just have a leaking gasket

There shouldn't be any trans fluid between the t-case and trans. As states befor either the output shaft seal of the trans or the input shaft seal of the t-case is leaking. In my experience it was usually the input seal. I would also do the output seal of the t-case while you have it out.

it wouldn't be too bad at all. if you have a transmission place around you, i would take it to them, b/c they can do it the fastest , meaning less labor charge. if you're going thru the trouble of changing the seals, you should go ahead and have the output shaft bushing changed as well. sometimes you can put three seals in and it still leaks b/c that bushing is bad.
