5.3 heater hose removal
I'm having trouble removing the hose that goes into the heater core. It looks like you can twist and pull, but I can't seem to get it off.
Any tips?

Re: 5.3 heater hose removal
Are you talking about the two smaller coolant hoses that pass through the fire wall and lead to the heater core? Mine have the typical clamps there and I pulled those clamps back and did the twist/pull method and they came off.

Re: 5.3 heater hose removal
Yes. It's the one that runs from the firewall into the tee connection of the water pump and the reservoir.
Of the two from the firewall, one has the regular hose clamp and the other one has some sort of plastic quick connect fitting. The one with the plastic fitting is giving me trouble. |
