Re: power steering leak
Check your line fittings to see if they are loose cuz mine were loose one time and and I was putting putting bottles and bottles of ps fluid and was wondering where it went

Re: power steering leak
Check the lines themselves too. OBS lines have been known to leak. Does it seem like PS fluid is being sprayed all over under the hood?

Re: power steering leak
well its not at the threading, its where the tube and the nut meet.

Re: power steering leak
if you take out that tube, theres an o-ring thats supposed to be on that fitting. the only way i can understand PS fluid getting out between the nut and the tube is by that o-ring. are you sure that's the source of the leak, or is that just where it's landing? try replacing that hose. They're only a few dollars at the parts store. if the leak is coming from elsewhere on the pump, you need to replace that asap. it will only make a mess under the hood and give you a headache later. i replaced my pump in just a few hours and it ended up being fairly cheap, since advance auto takes the old pump core back and refunds you for it. the total amount i spent on the new pump was $20, after returning the old pump.

Re: power steering leak
yea im a moron, that nut was just loose, but i didnt get to check that o-ring like you said. tightened it up and put some more in and its been holding up, hope i didnt screw up the pump cause it was starving from fluid.

Re: power steering leak
as long as you dont let it stay low on fluid it should be ok. if you hear noise, get more fluid fast.

Re: power steering leak
Im battling a baaaad input shaft seal leak on my steering box right now.

Need $300 for a new box and $150 for a new pump.. Ive heard scare stories of OBS chevies four wheeling with 33"+ tires where they will be on a trail or rock and the wheel goes total opposite wheel lock and it causes the seal behind the pitman arm to blow out.

Thats what im dealing with right now, blew the seal out and now my lines are leaking too.. Im going through about a bottle of fluid in a day..

OBS lines are indeed known to leak. Mine leaked until i replaced them, my friends 95 leak, and ive seen other trucks leak there too.
Hope you fixed it, If the pump wasnt run dry too long you might be alright just watch it
