I hear ya on the hot exhaust, no worring about a cat here tho on my 88 OBS ozone layer, I normally go to NAPA get the filter and Walmart to get my 5 qt. jug of Syntec and them cruise for a half hour or hour os so to get the oil warmed up and it drains faster and I feel like it gets more out, probably just a mental thing but I always change my oil warm to hot.

Re: Oil Change Dilemma.....what to do

I change mine whenever I have time, usually after driving home from work....its always boiling hot when I change it. I dont even give the exhaust enough time to cool down even a little bit....I'm a badass....
