Question So i tore my tailights open...
and washed the inside of em!!! Sparkly clean i tell you, there was a lot of built up dirt, plastic shavings, and spiderwebs(!) to clean out.... And im gonna try the 2000grit/rubbing compound/polish combo, see if i can clear the haze. To open, you just gotta pop the tabs at top and bottom, then pry that bastage open!!

QUESTION is, what kind of black(or any color) water proofing goo should i slap on there to put it back together?? Would clear bathroom silicon be effective, i have some of that laying around

If you check out gmcjoe's tech articles, he did a free mod for his gmc clear corners which involved some clear silicone, might look that up.

I cleaned out my parking lights once, mostly just swished them out, i couldn't get them apart, but they look alot better now.

Rest in Peace Jason Payne

One tailight is curing, the other is about to go together. THey were HELLA dirty, should look much better when back together. And YES RYAN, i DID fix something!! Now my blinkers, hazards AND brake lights work!! I rented the steering wheel/lock plate remover form NAPA for $100(refundable) and didnt evern use it.....the problem was where the wires from the signal and wiper plug into another connector on the steering column...unplugged and replugged it for no particular reason and my brake lights and right blinker started to work!!! And i only severly burned myself with solder one time
