Grease gun needed.
Hey guys, I need to replace the grease gun I have. What I'm looking for is......
-able to hold the large tubes of lube. -long flex "shaft" able to penetrate tight holes. -lower profile "socket" (the piece that actually presses on the zerk fitting. I looked around locally and didn't see what I wanted. I did a quick search on-line and wasn't real happy either. any help is appreciated. ![]() |

Re: Grease gun needed.
As long as it's a pistol grip model, you can usually buy the seperate fitting for what you need. I had a seperate needle fitting for getting at the u-joints in the truck. Just got to find a good store that will carry an assortment of fittings and tubes (either fixed or flexible, long or short) that can cater to your needs.

I use air grease guns...just pull the trigger and it pumps in automatically....one of my favorite air tools.

I like them too, but I need it to be portable for stuff in the shed.....I'm too lazy to start up the snow blower and tractor just to drive it around to grease it. ![]() |

Re: Grease gun needed.
I looked at a few different stores, and they all had the same brand and model around here. I believe I picked mine up at Home Depot, which had the separately sold flex hose next to it on the shelf. I want to say it was under $25 for everything and I'm pretty happy with it.

Re: Grease gun needed.
Well this is old but I noticed most auto parts stores have grease guns sold with only the hard line. Farm stores have the flexible hose.

Re: Grease gun needed.
Standard size. Any old grease gun will work.
