Re: work bench
![]() I made this last year sometime....this is a small ass room in the garage under the porch I call my own... I know the far edges look like ass, but it was kind of an afterthought. Last edited by Atomic : 06-01-2008 at 09:56 PM. |

Re: work bench
This is all I use for a work bench. In the past I had larger work benches in the past but found that they just collected more junk. This is something I built from a steele framed table and then I put wheels on it so i can move it around. Then I put outlets on it so where ever I move it to I just pug it in ot a wall outlet or E-cord if Im working outside.

Re: work bench
Wow that's a nice workbench! All I have is a wooden bench in my small ass townhouse garage, but my dad has one he built out of steel that I use more often.

Re: work bench
The vise is on its own stand now with mounting locations across the shop floor and even a set outside on the driveway.

Re: work bench
I made mine out of some doors that the office building I work in was throwing away. Solid Oak. It's a L shape, 10' down the long stretch and 8' across the bottom. I'll have to get a few pictures.

Re: work bench
Two houses ago, I had a great setup, kitchen cabinets, bottoms and tops, all oak, from a kitchen remodel(free) including counters. Beat the cr@p out of them. But held up for 8 years and still solid when I sold the house. You just need a friend who's into demo work. My neighbor actually got a nice garage door out of a demo, and I even once got 400sq ft of hardwood flooring from a demo (free + $150 to resurface). Too bad I lost touch with the dude over the years.
If it's free it's for me!!! |
