Photoshop Help?

I'm just looking for a quick tip.

How do you create a sig so the background appears to blend in with the forum's color scheme?

If you look at my current sig, you'll see the obvious edge on the ends on th sig. How are you making them blend? I'm not looking for someone to do it for me, I want to try it on my own.

I am using CS3.

Re: Photoshop Help?

Dont know much about CS3 as I use PSP12. But, promote the background layer to a full raster layer, remove the parts of the image you dont want, add other layer(s) for flameballs, names, tags, etc., save as a PNG. You may ave to fiddle with the save options for the png format. JPG does not support transparencies. The reason the 'background' blends so well is that its transparent.

Re: Photoshop Help?

I know how!

Search google for transparent signature photoshop tutorial, and something should come up. I did it with mine quickly, not my best but it's allright.

Re: Photoshop Help?

Cool. Looks like I got it. It used to be you'd save a file as a GIF to get the transparent layers.
