Gimp lowering secrets?
how do you lower on gimp. i use the laso free form then the move tool and it doesnt drop the truck any, moves whole pic down.

click "select from path" then "cut" and "paste" then go to "layers" and make the "pasted region" a "new layer".
Then "drag".

I'm bumping this because I don't understand it still. I just downloaded the gimp, and i'm trying to figure it out. I've only been messing with it for the past couple hours but could somebody chime in on how to do this with a little more beginner-oriented details?
