Inserting picture in second layer?
I just got photoshop and image ready 8.0 I can figure out the whole layer thing but I can't figure out how to add a photo to the first or second layers. Can anyone help me PLEASE. Thanks

It's really quite simple. Select and copy your source image, then paste it onto your destination image. By default, the copy will be brought in as its own layer.

You may need to rearrange the layers (top to bottom in the layer tool), depending on whether you want it on top of the other layers, in between, or behind. Otherwise, if you want to combine two layers, you just need to merge them. I don't do that a whole lot though, since you can't "unmerge" them... if there's any chance you may want to rearrange things, I would simply link the layers before I'd consider merging them.
