If folks want spare modules the prices are as follows:
$60 - 96-00 Vortec
$100 - Gen-III
$160 ECM / $60 TCM - Gen-IV Trucks and SUVs
We will need to ship out the modules before the meet for people to install them and perform the security relearn prior to being tuned.

Relative newbie here. I paid off my truck and was starting to look into some strategic upgrades. The Blackbear tune appears to be a crowd favorite. Coincidentally, Gulfport is only about 60 miles from me.
I have a completely stock 2007 Silverado Classic Z71 w/ 5.3L Flex Fuel engine. I am interested in improving performance and mileage of a predominantly daily driver with occasional off-road use.
I have read the threads on FSC and the FAQ on Blackbear.com. Here are my questions:
1. Is there an advantage to an in-person vs. mail order tune with no other mods in place?
2. Will the in-person tune identify any existing mechanical issues that the cable scan would? I do not think that I have any, but it would be nice to know.
If so, I may be interested in the Friday 8PM slot.

You just need to show up, and Justin will work his magic. Some folks ordered spare modules to keep stock for warranty purposes, and for those people, Justin will have them shipped out before the meet takes place.
