new to fullsize family
Hey y'all. I just got me a 1989 Chevy 1500. It's my 1st fullsize that I've owned. All I've ever had before was S-series trucks. The truck is a regular cab long bed model. It has a 350 TBI V8 and a 700R4. Silver metallic paint and blue interior. It has a couple age related issues with it but I got it for a deal. Its got new 15" Pacer chrome wheels. It has 119K miles on it, has a JVC cd player, cruise, power windows and locks and I paid just $2000 for it. I've flipped the lid on the tbi, true duel glasspacks, and I've replaced all the seat belts in it.

Welcome! Looks like a nice clean truck!

You can go ahead and flip the lid back over... All it's doing is sucking in hot air and making a bit more noise.

I've always been told that flipping the lid on a TBI helps it breathe easier?

Yeah, I've been a regular on s-seriesforum for a quite a while now. I don't have any s-series trucks no more, but I'll always have a place in my heart for s-series trucks.

I would but when it was painted, they painted around the rails. When I can afford to, I'm gonna get either some ABS or diamond plate bed caps, and a chrome bed rail.
