Richmond '09 6.6L checking in

Just picked up an '09 Chevy 2500HD 6.6L. Had (and still have) a '99 Jeep Wrangler, but was thinking of getting a toy hauler to get to the track...Needless to say the jeep won't tow that.

Anyways, first full size truck and first diesel. and I HAVE BEEN LOVING IT FOR THE PAST WEEK!!! So much more room than the good ole jeeper.

Anyways, will be lurking for how-tos. Would like to add a train horn, power chip of some sort, and i am thinking airbags after reading some posts on towing.

Other current toys are a 2007 Speed Triple for the street and a 2001 Honda F4i for the track. Post up on www.vasportbike.com often for rides, gathering, and trackdays for the bikes.

And for the riders out there

Beautiful truck! I would love to get my hands on one of the newer Duramax's. Get rid of that DPF as soon as possible if you don't have emission testing! I'm also a bike rider so post up some more pics of your rides.

Welcome to the forum!

Also, if you don't mind, around how much did you pay for the truck?

nice rig. if you search around you can find some good info on horns, people like hornblasters but read up on them. people on here also have PPE, ATS, and i believe banks tuned rigs for the dmax. this site is really resourceful and you will love every minute of it.

Re: Richmond '09 6.6L checking in

thanks all....some pics from the weekend...

Question...the allison is sweet titties in my mouth...however, should it be utilized in all towing situations (engine braking)? My current track hauler is just an open trailer with 2 bikes on it, a genny, and some gear....the truck pulled as though it wasnt even there, but not sure if i needed it in trailering mode or not...
