Re: How to become a FSC supporting member
you dont get the decal or shirt or what ever. I contacted jim numerous times then finally got a response he took me off as a supporting member because i complained about never getting the stuff and never gave me my money back. Its a great site with a horrible admin.

Re: How to become a FSC supporting member
Yeah I emailed the address they use to ask my shirt size and what color recently, But I got emails back saying all 3 delivery attempts were rejected!
I think we've been rused!

Re: How to become a FSC supporting member
You guys realize that the "Guys on here getting money for nothing" are those that bring you this website for no cost prior to your deciding to send money. The site requires money to maintain. This new server swap is consuming most of their time, and frankly, I'd rather have a site that functions properly at all times and can handle more traffic than have to have the single individual that runs the site stop now to mail out some t shirts. Jim is a firefighter if I remember correctly, maintaining this isn't his full time job. You gave money to support the site, you were receiving the swag as a thank you and bonus.

You do realize that before there was a "donation" there was the supporting member thing where you can go to the store and click and order the "supporting member pacakge", where you get a hat, T-shirt, Decal, added memory to your inbox, and a golden user name. That's what i did, last march when it was avaliable. I got the awesome golden name, but nothing else, and I've been trying to get the rest of the things I ordered, and still nothing, honestly I think a refund should be rewareded.

Re: How to become a FSC supporting member
Thats like saying on the barret jackson the fund raiser cars pay the price for it then dont get the car but hey the money went to a good cause... Would i have still given 20 bucks if i knew i wasnt going to get a decal sure, but its the principle that if your gonna to say hey ur gonna get this then dont get it nor do u get any response. I paid for mine about a year ago now and i got my sweet golden name taken off and no money or anything else back simply because i questioned him about it.

It was that way when I ordered it too. I'd appreciate the stuff, but I'm not too concerned. How much knowledge have you gained from being on this forum? It's invaluable.

I'm pretty sure doing that doesn't get your money back or swag mailed to you..

That's not what anybody is debating. The debate is, should we have been promised swag with a donation of $40 and then never have gotten it? Answer:No.

Re: How to become a FSC supporting member
Alright guys let's just step back and think about things for a second. I know that you should have gotten your stuff and that is an issue. But the way that some of you are going about it is not helping your cause.
As you all know the site has been having issues for some time now. Jim and the rest of the staff is trying to keep things moving. There is the spammers, server swap and other issues that Jim is trying to work on in his spare time.
This type of thing should be handled in PMs or contact other staff members rather than air the dirty laundry for the whole public to see.

Re: How to become a FSC supporting member
The way I understand it, the guys who payed $40 have gotten the same amount of stuff us who payed $20 got. That's not right. Hell, when I payed my $20, I did it to help the site, not to get a shirt, decal, or anything else. The guys who payed $40 probably expected a little over half to go to the site, and the rest to cover the cost of the shirt. I understand where 96extcab is coming from, trust me. The info I've gotten from this site for free is more valuable than the info I could have gotten anywhere else for thousands of $. The point is, the guys who payed $40 should have gotten a shirt. End of story. It would be nice for everyone else to have gotten their decal, but personally, I'm not worried about it. The right thing for Jim to do would be to, first, edit the wording on the supporting membership to something that he can live up to, and second, send everyone who has ordered something their stuff.

There is also no reason that you should be posting all over the site the same rant. That will not get things resolved. You say that there were 3 atempts to deliver so your stuff was sent. Maybe you are not explaining it very well and I am confused. Either way take it to PMs with the staff or Jim to resolve.
Thread will be locked for now.
