GM is expanding the more premium High Country grade, originally introduced on the 2014 Silverado 1500HD, to the 2500HD and 3500HD models in crew cab models with either rear- or all-wheel drive.
Available from this summer in the States, the 2015MY Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD High Country benefit from body colored bumpers, chrome features on the grille and body trim, plus special badges and logos. The 2500HD rolls on 20-inch chrome wheels, the single rear-wheel 3500HD gets 18-inch chrome alloys, while dual-rear-wheel 3500HD models use 17-inch forged polished aluminum wheels.
Interior updates focus around the exclusive saddle brown leather upholstery and added content such as the MyLink connectivity with an 8-inch touch screen, Bose premium audio and front and rear park assist. If that’s not enough, you could always tick the option boxes that contain features like a sunroof, navigation system and a rear-seat entertainment system with a BluRay/DVD player.
There are three engine options, including a 360hp and 380 lb-ft 6.0-liter V8, a bi-fuel version of the same V8 that can run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and a 397hp and 765 lb-ft 6.6-liter V8 Duramax turbo diesel.
Pricing should be announced soon, but expect a $4,000 to $5,000 premium over the LTZ grade.
