    Dual Shock Setups??

I need some answers from 4x4 owners with Dual Shocks. I am planning on installing the RCD Dual Shock Setup because it looks kewl and it has a cross over to both sides of the engine for added strength. My question is how has the ride changed in your trucks with 6 front shocks going over bumps and obstacles???? Is it harsh??? Should I buy Rancho 9000's for improved ride???? or Should I buy some cheap shocks, drill them out and paint them??? I don't want the truck to beat me to death.

1st off RCD offers is a triple shock kit but. is it even aval yet? I've heard that w/ a triple shock kit you have to run specially valved shocks. As far as the ride quality. I love it, no complaints. Plus the looks are great! Oh yeah if you get it chics will really dig your truck LMAO

Well here does nothing. The front shock hoop bolts to the upper control arm relocation brackets and there is a bolt that goes throught the OEM upper shock mount. The lower shocks mounts are just a simple bracket that bolts to the orignal upper control arm. I will be replacing the upper control arms w/ a set of modified CST dual shock upper control arms. Even thought this is a pic of the CST lift the Superlift is identical in how they drop everything.

Here is a pic that shows the CST control arms. I will also be replacing the Superlift shocks w/ Rancho 9000s.

The rear is a CST setup. There is a crossbrace the mount on the frame and then you have to cut the stock shock mounts off the axle. Grid it down, and then weld the lower shock mounting plates. I am currently running Rancho 9000s in the rear. I would like to add the in-cab adjustable setup ASAP. Its a pain in the ass to climb underneath it and change the settings.

The front was included in the Superlift kit. However, the new control arms are going to run a couple hundred dollars. The rear kit is $$$. Fortunately I get a deal on the CST stuff so I paid around $500-600. It retails for closer to $700-800.

Hope this anwsers your questions. Let me know.

Do you notice a difference in the RS9000 settings enough to justify their price what ever it may be??

It depends. I would say for an extra $14 it's worth it.
