Air Intakes

Air Intakes

Imagine running a marathon while trying to breathe through a straw. This is exactly what your engine feels like everyday that you drive it with the factory air intake system. Factory systems are designed to stay quiet while decreasing the air flow to your engine. Adding an aftermarket air intake system helps your engine breathe, run better, and get better gas mileage.

Air intake systems allow your truck to breathe easier by flowing more air into your engine. The helps create more horsepower and get better gas mileage. Air intake systems have several different styles for you to chose from, such as open element air intake systems, sealed air intake systems, and ram air intake systems.

Open Element Air Intake Systems: Open element air intake systems give you a reusable air filter, tube, and couplers which replace the factory components from the air box to the throttle body of your engine. Using the outside air and removing the air box to get all the surrounding air in the engine bay is how open element air intake systems feeds your engine.

Sealed Car Air Intake Systems: The sealed  air intake systems relies on changing the stock filter and tubing along with using or replacing the stock air box of your truck. The enclosed system has a box that the air filter sits inside therefore drawing in cooler air then the open element systems.

Ram Car Air Intake Systems: The ram air intake systems are a smaller market due to the risk of water exposure and debris blockage but do provide a great benefit of pulling in fresh air. These systems run outside of your engine compartment and usually have the intake below the front bumper.
