Six 2016 Chevy Silverados will be traveling up and down Woodward looking for anyone whose vehicle may have stalled out, overheated or run out of gas throughout the day.
The ASE-certified technicians have been provided by a group of local Chevy dealerships. During its five-year participation in the cruise, the Chevy Squad has serviced almost 200 vehicles.
“The volunteers who manage our Chevrolet Certified Service Rescue Squad are above all else, fans of the Woodward Dream Cruise and the cars they service during the event,” said Chevrolet Certified Service marketing manager Scott Williams.
Here are a few tips from the Rescue Squad before hitting the road:
- Make sure your battery is fully charged.
- Check fluid levels to make sure the vehicle is ready to operate for several hours. Bring extra if needed.
- Fill the gas tank all the way.
- Check the tire pressure.
- Make sure wiper blades are in good condition.
