Chevrolet debuts tear-jerking all-American commercial for Christmas

The commercial, titled “Holiday Ride,” opens with a weathered-looking man in rural America trading a faded, old Christmas wreath for a freshly cut, more robust one.

In an apparent attempt to get into the Christmas spirit, the man hangs the wreath on a set of barn doors.

He pushes the doors open and enters to see his late wife’s 1966 Chevrolet Impala sitting idle, with a thick layer of dust and decorated with cobwebs.

The man, clearly overcome with emotion, sadly gazes at the dusty and broken-down drop-top Chevy and touches a faded picture of a young woman presumed to be his late wife.

The man’s daughter, seeing her father’s apparent love for the car and for the memories it holds, decides to approach her father’s friends and ask them for help to restore it to its former glory.

Unbeknownst to the father, his daughter is able to transport the vehicle to town, where she and her dad’s friends work together to bring back the car’s original luster and shine.
