this truck has been on again/off again for about 15 yrs or so

its a 1937 chevy truck, its a 3/4 ton, mil spec, it belonged to the US Army
and then my grandpa pick it up after the war, it never went over seas
it stayed on base in southern California, Campo

grandpa daily drove the truck for many years, my dad said up into 1967-68
but I have also heard over the yrs it was 1970
the motor went out and he was in the process of putting a 235 into it
but ended up buying a c20 truck and never got around to finishing the swap

so it stay for many years in his back yard
and the mid to late 90's my parents moved it to their back yard and it sat some more

and around 2002 I had the cab sand blasted and primed with some heavy duty primer
and it sat some more

I movd to new mexico and didn't have a garage so it sat. and then I moved to
anchorage Alaska and didn't want to ship the truck, so it sat in san diego
and then I moved to England for 6 years
and now I'm in Tucson AZ

5 weeks ago had hip surgery at Camp Pendleton Cali,
and so my dad drove me back to Tucson 2 weeks after
and we towed the truck to my home,
the city of san diego is getting at my parent for the yard, and having to many vehicles

my little brother has a 57 chevy truck, my older brother has a 55 210 gasser and a 55 belair and a 57 4 door car, my dad has a 50 chevy truck, so as you can see they have to many vehicles
they all run besides the 50 chevy truck
plus they have their daily cars as well

so I needed to get my truck out

I picked up a 5.3/4l60e and just kind of made some temp braces to put the motor in the rails

Re: my on again off again project

started building a 2x3 3/16 frame for the truck based on the S10 front clip

shorten the wheel se 1.5 inches to make the front wheels fit center in the fenders

my wife and kids went to Disneyland for 3 days, so I picked up metal and started to go to town on a frame

the project is moving along slowly

most of the frame work is done
engine and trans are mounted into the frame
the frame has front suspension from a 98 s10 blazers on it
