I've switched to using GIMP for my photo editing and I can't seem to find a file format that will save my new sig with the transparent layer, all of them that I have tried change it to white. Any ideas?

Re: Transparent layer

A .png file will give you a transparent background. I'm not familiar with GIMP, but with Photoshop you can go File>Save for web> then there you can choose the file format you want to use, which in this case would be .png! Also you may want to try making a new transparent layer below all the rest and locking that layer before building the the pic ontop of it!
